DC ASSEMBLES THE JUSTICE LEAGUE
The wait is almost over, as Warner Bros. has announced that the trailer for Justice League is set to arrive online this Saturday, and to whet our appetites the studio is releasing a series of character posters and teasers, beginning with Aquaman, Batman and The Flash. Expect Wonder Woman and Cyborg later today.
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 CHARACTER POSTERS
Not to let DC steal all the headlines, Marvel has unveiled a series of character posters for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, with James Gunn sharing a poster for Kurt Russell’s Ego [see here], which was followed by one-sheets for Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Groot (Vin Diesel), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Mantis (Pom Klementieff) and Nebula (Karen Gillan), along with the villainous Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki). Although Michael Shannon was reportedly front runner for the role of Cable in Deadpool 2 just a couple of days ago, it has subsequently been rumoured that Brad Pitt is also in contention – a report which was supported by some leaked concept art showing Pitt as Nathan Summers (which has sadly now been removed by 20th Century Fox). Disney’s Bob Iger has released the first plot details for the currently-in-production Han Solo Star Wars spinoff, stating that: “It picks up Han Solo when he was 18 years old and takes him through when he was 24. There were a few things that happened [that were] significant in Han Solo’s life, like acquiring a certain vehicle and meeting a certain Wookiee, that will happen in this film. But you’ll also discover how he got his name.” So, by “his name”, is he referring to his actual name, or his reputation?

Entertainment Weekly has given us our first peek at the upcoming Twin Peaks revival with a series of covers and images featuring creator and director David Lynch alongside the likes of Kyle MacLachlan, Sherilyn Fenn, Madchen Amick, Dana Ashbrook, James Marshall, Peggy Lipton, Everett McGill, Wendy Robie, Sheryl Lee, Jake Wardle, David Duchovny, Miguel Ferrer, Kimmy Robertson, Harry Goaz and Michael Horse.
